Lauren Blasband-Roth is a 4th year cantorial student at the Debbie Friedman School of Sacred Music at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. Lauren received her Bachelor of Music from Mason Gross/Rutgers University in 2015 where she was an active member in both the Jewish and music communities. Lauren also recieved her Master of Educational Leadership in May of 2023 from the Rhea Hirsch School of Education in Los Angeles, California. As a native New Yorker, Lauren grew up as a dedicated congregant at Congregation Beth Elohim in Brooklyn, NY where she also worked as a full-time religious school educator for four years. Lauren now resides in Brooklyn, NY with her husband Aaron, a rabbinical student at HUC-JIR. During her free time, Lauren enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
